Die IFCA-Fin-Slalom-Europameisterschaften 2026 fanden in Hvide Sande, Dänemark, einen spektakulären Abschluss. Sechs Wettkampftage boten anspruchsvolle Bedingungen, spannende Rennen und ein unvergessliches Finale der IFCA-Klassensaison.
Der letzte Tag stellte die Teilnehmer vor eine letzte Herausforderung. Nach einem langsamen Start bei leichtem Wind frischte der Wind am Nachmittag endlich auf, erreichte 12–16 Knoten und ermöglichte so den Abschluss der letzten Ausscheidungsrennen der Männer und der Rennen der Frauen. Nach Beendigung der letzten Rennen konnten endlich die neuen Europameister gekrönt werden.
The Hvide Sande championship provided a fitting finale to the 2026 IFCA season, combining high-level racing with a welcoming event atmosphere, strong organization and a venue that continues to play an important role in international windsurfing.
Beyond the racing, Hvide Sande once again proved to be a special venue for the IFCA Class. The event welcomed young talents alongside experienced sailors, with Legends, Grand Masters, Masters, Youths and Juniors all sharing the race course and competing together. Seeing different generations of windsurfers racing side by side is a powerful reflection of the community and continuity of the sport.
The event also adds another successful chapter to the organizers long-proven record of hosting international events, with Waterz and the entire team once again delivering a professional setup, a great atmosphere and a warm welcome to athletes from across the international windsurfing community.
The IFCA Class extends its thanks to Waterz and the entire organizing team for their commitment and for delivering such a memorable final event of the 2026 season.
